Understanding Masking and Burnout at Work This in person session explores masking (or camouflaging) in the workplace and why many neurodivergent employees feel pressure to adapt their behaviour to meet workplace expectations. While masking can sometimes help people navigate professional environments, sustained masking can lead to fatigue, stress, and neurodivergent burnout. This session supports participants to better understand these impacts and provides practical strategies to support wellbeing and more sustainable ways of working. Participants attend a 3 hours small-group workshop, followed by a one-on-one coaching session to reinforce learnings. Coaching sessions are up to 1 hour long and scheduled at a mutually convenient time. What you’ll learn: - What masking and camouflaging are, and why people do it - The impacts of masking, including experiences such as PDA and RSD - What neurodivergent burnout is and how to recognise the signs - Practical strategies such as energy estimation, pacing, and filtering - Workplace strategies that support healthier, more sustainable work patterns 📅 Monday 20th July, 10am – 1pm 📍Mitchell.
