Specialist Consultancy & Support Services

Specialist neurodiversity & neuroinclusion consulting and support services

Whether you’re just starting your neurodiversity journey or have initiatives set up, Employ for Ability can provide you with clear and focused solutions to support you to foster a neuroinclusive environment.

We work closely with you to tailor programs to the unique needs of each organisation. Rather than bypassing existing systems, we take the time to understand how your organisation operates. This allows us to seamlessly integrate our proven neuroinclusion strategies into your processes—enhancing, rather than disrupting the way you work.

Key services areas include:

Maturity assessments

To support boards or senior leaders to understand their organisation’s current maturity level and prioritise efforts, we offer neuroinclusion maturity assessments. These typically involve a blend of reviewing existing data, surveys, and stakeholder engagement to understand employees’ lived experience, identify gaps and translate findings into practical, actionable recommendations (and potential returns on the investment).

In-house training programs

Any of our training programs can be delivered as “in-house” training within your organisation, whether face to face, fully online or blended. This also enables us to tailor the examples and case studies around the nature of your organisation and workforce. From Neurodiversity 101 for a general staff audience, through to specialist topics such as performance management for neurodivergent staff for HR teams.

HR capability building

We provide capability building engagements with Human Resource, People & Culture, Workplace Health & Safety or other internal teams. Build the confidence, knowledge and capability of your existing HR workforce, tailored around what their needs are – whether recruitment, onboarding, reasonable adjustments, performance management, etc.

WHS & HR support

Our specialists are on hand to support your HR or WHS teams with reasonable adjustments requests, performance management issues, psychological injury claims and return-to-work plans that involve a neurodivergent staff member. Depending on the specific needs, these can be delivered by EFA specialists or in conjunction with our WHS specialist partner EASEC

Coaching for success

We offer standardised or on-demand coaching and support programs for neurodivergent staff and their managers. Whether as part of an onboarding process or in response to performance or other challenges, our expert coaches bridge the gap between neurodivergent employees and their line managers through 1:1 support sessions with both parties and creation of our proprietary Neurodiversity Passport. Such early interventions prevent potential claims from escalating and can radically transform the performance and perceptions of both the employee and their manager.

Self-paced learning

Currently in development is a suite of streamlined, self-paced learning modules. These offer a cost-effective and scalable way to disseminate the key concepts around neurodiversity, neuro-inclusion, reasonable adjustments, etc. These can be offered, for example, as part of an on-boarding journey or a new-manager training suite like alongside your existing mandatory training on cybersecurity, bullying/harassment, etc.

Keynote or guest speakers

If you’re looking for an engaging way to introduce the concepts and language of neurodiversity or introduce a neurodiversity initiative, we offer dynamic & engaging keynote presentations for your events or conferences, whether as a brief keynote or a live Neurodiversity 101 session a large audience.

Bespoke consulting

We welcome bespoke neurodiversity consulting engagements. We’ve helped a financial services organisation review the neuro-inclusivity of a proposed office redesign, helped a major health & nutrition group review their recruitment and onboarding practices, supported an employee assistant program (EAP) provider examine how their contact centre can better support neurodivergent callers, and much else besides. Let us know what your needs are and we can assess whether we’re the best party to support.
